Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
From a young age, I was deeply attuned to the emotions of others. My friends and family would often describe me as compassionate and wise beyond my years. I found joy in being there for people, in understanding their struggles and offering support. This innate curiosity about the human mind led me to pursue psychology in college, where my interest in how people heal and grow really blossomed.
My path took a pivotal turn when I joined the U.S. Army as an active-duty soldier. In the role of Mental Health Specialist, I gained invaluable experience working in inpatient psychiatry, outpatient mental health, and substance abuse clinics. The time I spent supporting fellow soldiers through some of their darkest moments reinforced my belief in the power of mental health care and the resilience of the human spirit.
After completing my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, I went on to earn a Master’s in Social Work. With over 3,000 hours of supervised clinical work and passing the national ASWB clinical exam, I became a licensed therapist. Every step of the journey has reaffirmed my passion for helping others heal and thrive.
