What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?

If a client is honest in a vulnerable and transparent manner, they have a trust with the therapist and are able to make significant progress. I value a client providing feedback and guiding the direction of the therapy session if the client knows a direction that the therapy session needs to follow.
