In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
At the heart of both my life philosophy and my treatment philosophy is a deep belief in people’s capacity to grow, heal, and reconnect—with themselves and with each other. I believe that relationships are central to our well-being, and that repair is always possible, even when things feel broken or overwhelming. In my own life and in my work, I try to approach people with curiosity rather than judgment, and I value honesty, compassion, and progress over perfection.
I don’t believe anyone is ever truly “stuck”—we just haven’t found the right support, tools, or understanding yet. That belief shapes how I show up as a therapist: grounded, collaborative, and gently persistent. I believe in showing up as a real person in the therapy room, not just a professional, and I invite my clients to do the same. Whether we’re talking about parenting, sex, burnout, grief, or communication, I bring warmth, steadiness, and a deep respect for your lived experience.
In both life and therapy, I don’t believe in quick fixes. I believe in meaningful, sustainable change that honors where you’ve been and where you want to go. We all deserve relationships that feel safe, fulfilling, and authentic—and I’m here to help you create those, starting with the one you have with yourself.

Work HistoryOver the past 25 years, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families in a range of settings—but always with the same goal: to create space for people to feel seen, supported, and empowered. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and my early work included supporting high school students and their families as a school counselor. That experience shaped the way I approach complex systems and helped me become a strong advocate for families—especially those navigating IEPs, 504s, and the special education process. I later earned a doctorate (EdD) in Special Education, which deepened my commitment to supporting neurodivergent clients and families of children with special needs.
Over the years, I’ve continued to expand my training in the areas that matter most to my clients. I’ve completed Level 2 training in the Gottman Method, which means I use research-based tools to help couples improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen intimacy. I’m also trained in sex therapy, which helps me guide individuals and couples through the often tender, complicated territory of sexual concerns with compassion and clarity.
In everything I do, I aim to create a welcoming, judgment-free space. Sometimes, that even includes my certified therapy dog, who joins sessions by request and helps ease anxiety and offer comfort. Whether I’m working with a couple in crisis, a parent feeling overwhelmed, or someone navigating identity or intimacy, I bring warmth, expertise, and deep respect for your story.
