What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I believe counseling begins with a genuine, honest relationship. You can expect a laid back, warm, goal oriented, and collaborative environment injected with some lightness and humor. We will find tools that will improve your daily wellbeing, while also focusing on healing any deeper issues or past experiences that may be driving your daily struggles. If you are ready to utilize the tools at home and show up honestly in session, you are likely see change begin within a few sessions.

Work HistoryI started Spero Counseling because I found healing, fulfillment and peace were possible through therapy. My therapist gave me tools for daily life and assisted in the healing of wounds underneath my issues and I am passionate in sharing that gift with other men.
Therapy is my second career after having had a previous education/career in project management and consultation for Vanderbilt and Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). While earning my Masters degree, I interned at The Refuge Center for Counseling in Franklin Tennessee. Graduation came mere months before the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, I combined my therapeutic training and previous career experience to act as the Director of Operations at The Becoming: Counseling Wellness while also building my private practice on nights and weekends.
These experiences have allowed me to have extensive specialized therapy experience in men's issues, relationship, emotional regulation and ADHD counseling, in addition to advanced training in SAFE-EMDR.
