Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I believe in collaboration and working with the individual to create a therapeutic map that will guide us in reaching your goals. Each individual is unique, and I tailor my approach to the individual. I want to see you succeed, and I am committed to supporting you in your journey. As a former teacher and coach, I have great experience with pacing a session and planning out a path to support you in reaching your goals.
What does a first session with you look like?
A first session will be focused on getting to know you. I'm interested in understanding your motivation for therapy and what you're looking for in our work together. I also use this time to answer any questions you may have. The first session is the foundation for our work together.
In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
I believe in lifelong learning and having a growth mindset. I find that my clients are often coming to therapy because of distress in their lives, and they want to grow. We may wish for things to be different, but we need to first identify what we want and then take action. Our sessions will be exploratory at times, and they may focus more on action at other times. I promise to be candid and honest always and support you in reaching your goals.
