Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
One thing that is important to know about working with me is that I deeply respect autonomy, choice, and self determination. Therapy is not about forcing you to do things you are not ready or willing to do. You are the expert on your life, and you ultimately decide the direction and pace of treatment.
At the same time, meaningful change often requires stepping outside of familiar comfort zones. My role is to help you do that in a way that feels manageable, purposeful, and aligned with your goals. I will encourage you to face fears, reduce avoidance, and practice new ways of responding to difficult thoughts, emotions, and situations, but we work together to determine what those steps look like.
Clients often describe me as warm, supportive, and straightforward. I believe in creating a space where people feel understood while also helping them move toward lasting change. For concerns like OCD, anxiety, health anxiety, PTSD, panic attacks, and specific phobias, this sometimes means I may not provide reassurance when reassurance is part of the problem. Instead, I focus on helping people build confidence in their ability to handle uncertainty, tolerate discomfort, and respond differently to fear.
My goal is not to help you avoid anxiety or eliminate uncertainty. My goal is to help you develop the skills and confidence to live the life you want, even when uncertainty and discomfort are present.

Work HistoryMy experience comes from working with a wide range of individuals across community mental health, outpatient therapy, school based services, and programs serving high risk populations. Throughout my career, I have worked with people experiencing homelessness, severe mental illness, trauma, and significant life challenges. I have also worked with children and families involved in the child welfare system, helping young people who experienced abuse, neglect, trauma, and family disruption.
Over time, I developed a strong interest in using evidence based treatments that directly target the problems bringing people to therapy. This led me to pursue specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and anxiety disorders, as well as Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy for PTSD. Today, much of my work focuses on helping people overcome OCD, intrusive thoughts, health anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, specific phobias, PTSD, and other anxiety related conditions.
I have worked with children, teens, and adults from many different cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. These experiences have reinforced the importance of understanding each person's unique story while using treatment approaches that are supported by research and tailored to their goals.
My approach is active, practical, and focused on helping people make meaningful changes in their daily lives. Rather than simply talking about symptoms, I help clients develop skills to face fears, reduce avoidance, and build confidence in handling uncertainty so they can spend less time controlled by anxiety and more time focused on what matters most.
