Work HistoryI began my counseling experience in a substance abuse facility as a bachelor's level counselor. I worked there for 2 years working with individuals who experienced substance abuse/dependence. I cut my teeth there figuring out how to write treatment plans, coordinate sessions, write notes and run groups. It was a high learning curve, but I am glad I had that experience. I then completed my masters program and began working at a group private practice. I started to see clients for mental health issues and substance use issues. I was enjoying engaging in a diverse array of populations for a variety of concerns. After 3 years of group private practice, I took the jump into building and owning my own fully virtual private practice that specializes in working with women who have experienced childhood trauma or substance abuse, and also working with birthing people for perinatal issues and infertility.
