What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I am the owner of Sweet Orange Therapy Services. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. I provide teletherapy services in Colorado to adults, primarily women and those who identify as women, experiencing a variety of life transitions and challenges. I particularly specialize in working with women and birthing persons through the perinatal period and all stages of motherhood and parenting. Whatever you are experiencing, whatever your goals are, therapy can make all the difference.
Therapy can be an essential piece of a coping arsenal and can empower you to meet your goals and nurture your true self. With a background in social work, I bring a wealth of community resources, individual and systemic perspectives, and holistic focus on the whole self. While you determine the direction of therapy, I will offer you support without judgement and opportunities to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, increase positive coping strategies, set boundaries that honor your needs, and build in tangible balance, healing and contentment in your life.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
provide fully virtual therapy sessions over confidential video. My therapeutic style is client-centered, strength-based, and solution-focused. My particular expertise and passion is working with women and birthing persons through the perinatal period including preconception, fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, abortion, pregnancy, postpartum and the entire parenting journey. I specialize in working with women in balancing parenting, household management, full-time caregiving and/or professional careers. It is so common to feel like you have lost yourself in these phases of life where you are focused on giving so much of yourself to others. Ingrained societal expectations of mothers can feel unattainable and crushing, but it doesn’t have to be this way. It is possible to build a life that feels more balanced and filled with self-love, grace, positive coping, presence, boundaries and fulfillment.
