Education
Illinois Institute of Technology, Doctorate of Philosophy, Clinical Psychology, 2017 — I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology. My clinical training during graduate school focused on eating disorder treatment in higher level of care settings. I worked in inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs throughout my training. My research also focused on body image and disordered eating behaviors. Currently, I apply this foundation to my outpatient work in eating disorders therapy.
Work HistoryMy career has been dedicated to helping individuals recover from eating disorders across the full continuum of care. During my doctoral training, I worked exclusively in higher levels of care, including inpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs, where I gained extensive experience treating individuals with a wide range of eating disorders and co-occurring concerns. I also worked in a bariatric surgery clinic, conducting psychological evaluations to help patients prepare for surgery.
After earning my PhD, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina's College Counseling Center, where I worked with college students navigating anxiety, depression, academic stress, disordered eating, and the many challenges that can arise during this stage of life.
I then spent two years at The Renfrew Center in Baltimore, serving as a primary therapist in the PHP and IOP eating disorder programs. In this role, I provided individual, family, and group therapy, helping clients build lasting recovery while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary treatment teams.
Since relocating to Atlanta in 2020, I have focused on outpatient psychotherapy, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders and anxiety. My experience across all levels of care allows me to meet clients wherever they are in their recovery journey, whether they are seeking support for the first time or continuing the progress they've already begun.
