Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
This is my second career. I used to work in the financial industry and I was not fulfilled there. Being a therapist is my dream job and it doesn't feel like work to me.
What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?
I believe having a non-judgmental environment is key for a therapeutic relationship. I also think it is key to have a trauma-informed approach and use curiosity about current symptoms and behaviors instead of pathologizing people.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I am a sensitive person which allows me to be in attunement with people. I also can have empathy for others who are sensitive as this impacts how people experience the world.
