Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Through a blend of art therapy and traditional counseling, I create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your feelings, heal from past trauma, and discover new ways to cope and thrive.
What does a first session with you look like?
Our first session is really about getting to know one another and beginning to understand what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what has been going on in your life, what you’d like support with, and what you hope might feel different as a result of our work together.
You don’t need to come prepared with the “right” things to say or have everything figured out. We’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable, and you can share as much or as little as you’re ready for. I’ll ask some questions to help me better understand your experiences, strengths, relationships, and what has shaped you along the way.
Most importantly, the first session is also an opportunity for you to get a feel for me and decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you. Therapy works best when you feel comfortable, understood, and able to be yourself. And while I may incorporate art or creative approaches into our work, there is never any pressure to make art—creativity is simply one of the tools available to us when it feels helpful.

Work History
I have nearly 20 years of experience helping children, teens, and adults navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and periods of feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves.
My experience has taken me into a variety of settings, including schools, community mental health, private practice, and virtual therapy. Over the years, I’ve worked with people across many stages of life—from young children learning to understand and express big emotions to adults trying to make sense of difficult experiences, relationships, identity, loss, and change.
Much of my work has focused on trauma and the ways our past experiences can continue to shape how we feel, relate to others, and move through the world. My background in art therapy and expressive approaches has also taught me that healing does not always happen through words alone. When it feels helpful, I incorporate creativity, imagery, mindfulness, and other experiential approaches to help clients explore what may be difficult to put into words.
These experiences have shaped my approach to therapy as warm, collaborative, curious, and deeply individualized. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, I work to understand each person’s story and help them develop greater insight, self-compassion, and meaningful ways of moving forward.
