How does collaboration with other providers play into your work?
Collaboration is necessary for clients to receive the best possible treatment. There has to be a team effort as it is one of the key components in the therapeutic relationship. Both the client and the therapist need to work toward the same goal to achieve success.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I am extremely open-minded and I connect well with my clients. It is important to know that I do not judge anyone regardless of what their history entails. We are all unique individuals and everyone has the right to be treated with respect in a non-bias way. In addition, I am patient. People need to go through the therapeutic process at their own pace so they may heal.
What do you think is the biggest barrier today for people seeking care?
I believe taking the first step in seeking therapy is difficult for most. When someone finally commits, then the financial aspect is a huge barrier. People are currently having a difficult time with finances. Therefore, I like to keep my rates affordable so I may assist as many people as possible.
