Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
One of the reasons I became a counselor is because I’ve always believed that no one should have to walk through life’s hardest moments alone. During some challenging times in my own life, therapy has made a big impact on my ability to navigate and find peace. Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful it is when someone has a safe place to be heard and understood. Counseling gives me the privilege of walking with people through some of their most difficult times, and finding the road to healing together.
What does a first session with you look like?
The first session is all about getting to know you—your story, what brought you in, and what you’re hoping to feel or achieve. We’ll move at a comfortable pace and talk through symptoms, history, and goals so we can build a roadmap for your treatment. I’ll explain the therapeutic process, answer any questions, and make sure you feel comfortable with the direction we’re heading. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and confident that you’re not doing this alone. And of course, we’ll only go as deep as you’re ready to go.

Professional Background
LicensureTexas, Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor, 64087
Education
Sam Houston State University, Master of Arts, Professional Counseling, 2007
Work HistoryI began my clinical work at a domestic violence shelter, working with both adults and children impacted by abuse. After several years of working more directly with children and families, I transitioned to a nonprofit agency, where I advanced to Clinical Director and discovered a passion for training new clinicians. Along the way, I developed experience in trauma, OCD, anxiety, and life stressors, and have since shifted my focus primarily to adults. Now, I’m back to focusing on direct client care, and I couldn’t be happier with where my career has brought me.
