In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
Here’s a grammatically polished version that keeps your voice and meaning:
I love using a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT, and CBT in my therapy practice, which is also how I try to live my own life. ACT helps develop psychological flexibility by teaching us to accept difficult thoughts and emotions without letting them control us. CBT helps us learn to change our thinking so we can improve the way we feel, while DBT teaches practical skills to balance intense emotions, accept difficult realities, and improve relationships. These therapies work well together to help us experience life with more joy. I try to experience the world from a place of unconditional happiness, and these modalities support my ability to get there.

Education
Southern University of New Orleans, Master of Social Work, Clinical concentration, 2022 — I received my MSW with a clinical mental health concentration. During my time in school I was a graduate assistant as part of the All of Us research program which is a landmark health initiative by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) aiming to gather health and genetic data from over one million volunteers across the U.S.. Its goal is to build one of the world's most diverse biomedical databases to advance precision medicine.
University of New Orleans, Bachelor of Arts, Sociology, Psychology and Health Promotion, 2020 — This was an interdisciplinary studies degree. During my time at UNO I received a Tolmas Scholarship and was fortunate to co-author a research paper on the presentation of Erving Goffman's gender codes in modern women's publications.
Work HistoryPrior to starting my private practice, I worked in community health supporting gender care clients and people living with HIV. During this time my clients underwent many losses and I came to recognize that grief is the basis of most of our traumatic experiences. This led me to focus my practice on grief and loss in all its forms, with a particular emphasis on the loss of loved ones through death or the end of a relationship.
