Education
Northcentral University, Master of Arts, Marriage and Family Therapy, 2016 — During my masters program, my focus was on couples work. My capstone followed a couple I worked with that was initially highly volatile through their therapy process resulting in open and calm communication and reporting decreased fighting.
Work HistoryI have been working in the mental health and addiction field for over 10 years, throughout that time I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient treatment center, domestic violence shelter, and traditional outpatient. During that time, I have worked in every position ranging from behavioral health worker, to case manager, to clinician/crisis clinician, up to program director and most recently chief clinical officer. After 10 years in working in community mental health settings, I decided to shift into private practice so I can really focus on providing the best possible care to clients in the area I specialize in. Throughout that time, I was fortunate to go complete a variety of trainings and certifications, focused on couples therapy and trauma. I am level 2 Gottman trained, DBT-certified, CPT and TF-CBT trained. I am a fully licensed marriage and family therapist and licensed addiction counselor/licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor in the states of Colorado and Nevada.
