What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I completed my undergraduate studies in Musical Theatre and have long been captivated by human behavior and our interactions with the world. After gaining professional experience as an actor, I recognized that I was not fulfilled in my career and decided it was time for a change. With the guidance of an exceptional therapist who supported me in addressing my childhood trauma, I discovered a passion for helping others navigate similar challenges. Consequently, I pursued and earned a Master’s degree in Family Therapy in 2021. Since then, I have been actively working in the field, dedicated to supporting individuals through their own journeys of healing.

Education
Southern Connecticut State University, Marriage and Family Therapy, 2023 — I am trained as a Marriage and Family Therapist, or a systemic therapist.
Work HistoryMy name is Melody (she/her), and I am an LMFT-A, and graduate from Southern Connecticut. I am under the direct supervision of LCAT’s owner and founder, Amanda Pasciucco. My specialization is in trauma-informed practices, alternative methods to explore ADHD, LGBTQIA+ relationships, and identity.
I enjoy utilizing an integrative approach to therapy that focuses on stories and how the different parts of us show up in the world. I studied Musical Theatre for my undergraduate degree, and I believe that art and humor can be an integral part of the healing process. I utilize narrative therapy, parts theory, and post-modern approaches to help people integrate themselves and their identities. I enjoy working with folks within the LGBTQIA+ community, young adults, people with ADHD, and people with anxiety.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sweet puppies, Juniper and Peach!
