Work History25 years in the first responder industry coupled with founding a non profit in 2016 have been the major stepping stones that have lead me down the path to work toward my LCSW. I am in my practicum with UTA and anticipate graduation in 2026. Working with mental wellness and individual is not new to me, but a bigger, deep step in my career. My foundation provides mental wellness services to First responders and members of their families, peer support, peer support education and peer supported activities. I had obtained my peer support specialist certification in the area of trauma and am part of the East Texas Critical incident stress management team at the Level I and II certification. These experieinces had prepared me to continue my work with first responders, high stress occupations, helping professions and those in need of career coaching and growth.
