Get To Know Me
What does a first session with you look like?
In our first session, we’ll go over the basics like confidentiality and what therapy will look like. Then we will start digging into what’s bringing you in and begin building our therapeutic connection. I use a mix of approaches, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Sand Tray depending on what feels like the right fit. We’ll figure that out together and make sure the approach matches your goals and what you’re needing from therapy.
What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?
For me, trust and feeling safe are the foundation of good therapy as it’s where real healing starts. I take a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, which means I show up with empathy, respect, and realness. I see my clients as the experts of their own lives, and I’m here to support them at their own pace. My role is to offer compassion, honest reflections, and helpful tools that are tailored to make sense for your journey.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I'm not your typical therapist; I take a more down-to-earth, real-world approach. No stuffy office vibes, no jargon overload, and definitely no judging. I believe therapy should feel like a genuine conversation, not an interrogation. Whether we're talking life transitions, mental health, or just trying to make sense of the chaos, I meet people where they’re at with honesty, humor, and compassion.

Work HistoryI began my journey in mental health in 2017, working with at-risk kids and teens in a residential group home. During graduate school, I interned at SMA Healthcare in a women’s residential substance abuse program, and then became a Substance Abuse Counselor. In 2020, I shifted into outpatient work, supporting kids, teens, and adults with a variety of mental health needs. I stayed with SMA until 2022, then joined a private group practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. In 2024, my partner and I took the leap and opened our own private practice here in Ormond Beach, Florida.
