Education
Barry Univestiy, Master of Social Work, Clinical, 2018 — Barry University – Master of Social Work (MSW) Barry University’s Master of Social Work program provides advanced clinical training focused on trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic approaches. The program emphasizes understanding the impact of trauma, strengthening clinical assessment skills, and developing effective interventions to support emotional healing and resilience across diverse populations.
Work HistoryMy clinical experience has been centered on helping individuals work through trauma, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. Early in my career, I worked in community mental health where I supported individuals and families navigating complex life stressors, relationship challenges, and long-standing patterns that often stemmed from unresolved trauma. This experience helped me develop strong skills in assessment, emotional regulation work, and supporting clients during difficult life transitions. Over time, I specialized in trauma-focused care and trained in approaches such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), EMDR, and other evidence-based therapies that help clients process painful memories rather than simply manage symptoms. My work now focuses on helping teens and adults understand how past experiences shape current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while guiding them through practical tools to create lasting change. In private practice, I primarily work with clients experiencing anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, relationship difficulties, and patterns that keep them feeling stuck. My approach is structured and goal-oriented, but also compassionate and collaborative. I believe therapy should help people move forward, not stay stuck in their past, and my goal is to help clients build the clarity, confidence, and emotional stability needed to live more fully in the present.
