While serving as a lay pastor, I occasionally recognized that my congregants needed more assistance than I felt qualified to give; so, I referred them to professional counselors. I learned that affordable counseling was not readily available. So, upon retirement from the military, I used my veteran benefits to get professional training. I now provide affordable counseling: $90 for 90 minutes of therapy.

As the oldest of my mother's eight children, I was raised by two stepfathers. My wife and I have been married 43 years; we have 6 children and 16 grandchildren. As a family man, public servant, and lay pastor, I have regularly worked with individuals, couples, and families to improve their relationships.

I work primarily with couples who want to enhance their relationships. I use Gottman Method Couples Therapy to assist partners in disarming conflicting verbal communication; increasing intimacy, respect, and affection; removing barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy; and creating a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of their relationship.
