What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Before deciding to become a therapist, I found that I possessed a calming presence and an ability to listen without judgment. Having spent two decades working in the entertainment industry, I changed my career path to use these strengths to create a different kind of positive impact on people’s lives. It is a privilege to witness human resilience and resolve, as I support my clients to overcome life’s hardships and move towards realizing their full potential. I appreciate my non-traditional journey into this field and am proud to offer my awareness and skill as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in private practice.

In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?

My pronouns are He/Him/His. I am proud to serve members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and those navigating consensually non-monogamous relationships. I aim to use my privilege as white cisgender male therapist to advocate on my clients’ behalf for larger social change, while also embodying an affirming, safe, and sensitive presence for each individual. Drawing upon my own lived experiences, I am also uniquely positioned to empathize with the pressures of performance faced by artists, musicians, and actors; as well as the uncertainties and high stress that go along with being producers, entrepreneurs, and managers in the arts.

Work History

What could help reduce my stress? How can I reach my goals? Can you help hold me accountable?... I recognize and respect the complexity of being human. Even when we want to make changes in our life, it can feel overwhelming or intimidating to know when, where, or how to start. My aim is to provide a calming and non-judgmental space, where we will work collaboratively to help you mitigate life’s hardships and realize your full potential. My therapeutic approach is heavily influenced by Narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I emphasize Harm Reduction when it comes to modifying substance use or other behaviors. I can also provide support for integrating plant medicines and other psychedelic-assisted treatments.
