Work HistoryIn my 25 years as a first responder, I developed a deep understanding of crisis and trauma. I learned to remain calm and focused while others were experiencing chaos, and how to assess situations quickly to provide immediate, supportive intervention. This experience gave me a unique perspective on resilience and the incredible strength people possess even in their most vulnerable moments. For the past five years, as the owner of ICHY Counseling, I've channeled this experience into building a practice focused on holistic healing. I've designed our programs and processes with the knowledge that lasting recovery requires addressing a person's entire well-being, not just their symptoms. I built ICHY to be a place where clients feel safe, empowered, and truly understood. More recently, my two years of supervising other therapists has further refined my skills. It's given me the opportunity to deepen my understanding of therapeutic techniques and ensure that our clinical practices are both effective and compassionate. I've learned that supporting other healers is crucial to providing the best care possible to our clients. Every step of my journey has informed my work as a counselor. My experience has given me a deep empathy for what people go through and a practical, grounded approach to helping them navigate their challenges. When you work with me, you're not just getting a therapist with clinical training; you're getting a partner who has been in the trenches and knows how to guide you toward a place of stability and strength.
