Get To Know Me
How do you determine therapy goals with clients? What does that process look like?
When working with a client, I start by really listening to understand what brought them to therapy and what they hope to achieve. Together, we explore their concerns, strengths, and what feels most important to address first. From there, we set clear, realistic goals that are meaningful to the client—not just what I think would help. These goals might focus on improving relationships, managing stress, coping with emotions, or making specific changes in daily life.
The process is collaborative, so goals can change as therapy progresses. I check in regularly to see what’s working, what feels challenging, and what needs adjusting. This way, therapy stays focused, flexible, and truly aligned with the client’s needs and growth.
