Education
Bastyr University, Master of Arts, Counseling Psychology, 2024
University of Washington, Bachelor of Arts, Cultural Anthropology, 2021
Work HistoryI worked in the corporate world for over a decade before deciding to go a different path. I began my clinical training for mental health counseling at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, Washington's leading institution in natural and holistic healthcare. At Bastyr I learned the value of an integrative approach that includes working with the body to regulate the mind. I then completed my clinical internship in a group private practice that taught me the fundamentals of working with the mind to regulate the body. Beyond my schooling, I've completed several additional trainings to supplement my learning. I completed Pacifica Graduate Institute's Applied Mythology certification course which helped me understand how powerful language, and particularly metaphor, can be towards transformation and healing. I also completed training in Narrative Therapy where I learned the importance of working with and reshaping core narratives. I've additionally completed restorative yoga and nervous system training as well as numerous self-study hours of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
