Work HistoryI began my journey to becoming a therapist during my undergraduate program, in which I obtained a B.S. in Psychology at Lebanon Valley in 2017. Before going back to school for my Master's Degree, I worked in a Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS) position, where I gained experience working with children. In 2021, I obtained my M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University. Upon graduation, I worked in outpatient substance abuse treatment, within which I focused on sexual health. I have experience working with individuals struggling with substance abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal conflict. I obtained my Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP) certification in 2023 and have experience working with couples. As a counselor, I work towards assisting clients in reaching their individualized goals through a collaborative, person-centered approach. Asking for help can be difficult, and I strive to create an open and comfortable environment to allow for emotional processing and creation of therapeutic goals. I utilize multiple modalities in order to meet the needs of individuals, including: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, solutions-focused, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), experiential, and client-centered. I find it is important for the individual to first feel safe and comfortable within the therapeutic environment so that healing can begin. As no two individuals are the same, my approach changes with each individual and their specific needs, allowing my counseling style to be dynamic.
