What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Hello! I am Murphy Hall, LCSW (she/her). My hope is that you have happened upon this page because you are planning to start or continue your therapy journey. Maybe you are searching for extra support, ways to reduce stress and cope with emotions, or ways to feel more comfortable in your own skin. Sometimes the life we desire to have is not the one right in front of us. With me as your therapist, we can work together to help you navigate the changes you want to make in your own life. I have been described as calm, consistent, and compassionate by my clients. My approach is comprised of support, validation, empowerment, and honesty. I strive to create a safe, accepting environment for everyone with whom I have the opportunity to work.
My past clinical experience as a social worker in a community mental health clinic and advocate for individuals experiencing homelessness has been meaningful and important. These jobs opened the door to working with a diverse range of clients. My passion and value is diversity in my work, which is why I specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ population to navigate gender and sexuality and have extensive experience in treating trauma, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, body positivity/self-esteem, and relationship stress for individuals in monogamous or polyamorous relationships. Additionally, I have experience working with individuals who identify as being a part of the kink community.
