Under Clinical Supervision

Mycah Miller, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, 204898 is practicing under the supervision of Alycia DeGraff (Texas, LMFT-S, 202842) at MycahMiller Psychotherapy.

Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.

What does a first session with you look like?

I will go over confidentiality, answer any questions you have about the therapeutic process itself, and then we will do an intake history. An intake history requires me to ask you many more pre-set questions than I ever will after that in order to get a more complete idea of who you are and why you came to therapy. This includes things such as current problems, medical history, family history, and therapeutic history. This allows us to collaborate better about what you want out of therapy.

Work History

Whether you are experiencing conflict in your relationships, feel a lack of connection, or are simply overwhelmed by life, I am ready to go on this therapeutic journey with you. I strive to create an environment where you feel safe to freely process your experiences and emotions. Throughout our sessions I can help you foster a strong and trusting relationship with yourself, which in turn, will help you build healthy relationships with others. Specializing in relationship issues and trauma, I utilize attachment theory along with various systems theories to positively and collaboratively address your concerns and empower you with the tools to help you face this crazy thing called life. Having a background in physical health, I also like to incorporate somatic, mind-body exercises into therapy. I have over 1 year of experience working with couples, individuals, and families of many different genders, orientations, and ethnicities. Connect with me today to set up a free 10-minute consultation to see if I am the right fit for you. I am currently offering Telehealth and Walk and Talk (a more casual, active, outdoor approach to therapy) appointments. I look forward to talking with you!
