Work HistoryMy path to becoming a therapist wasn't a straight line, and I think that's actually what makes me good at this work. I started in crisis intervention, where I spent five years supporting individuals and families during some of the most overwhelming moments of their lives. That work taught me how to stay grounded when emotions are intense and how to meet people exactly where they are without needing them to be further along than they are. It also showed me early on that mental health doesn't exist in a vacuum. It's tangled up with systems, circumstances, and histories that go back long before someone walks into a therapy room. From there I spent years working in legal and compliance settings, including immigration law where I worked closely with vulnerable populations navigating complex, high-stakes systems. That experience deepened my understanding of how institutional and systemic pressure shapes people's lives and mental health in ways that don't always get named or recognized. When someone tells me they're exhausted, I understand that the exhaustion is often not just personal. It's structural. I've also spent years in pharmaceutical compliance, which gave me a close look at how healthcare systems work in a less common way for most therapists/medical providers. Running alongside all of this has been a lifetime of community involvement, anti-bullying work starting in middle school, diversity and belonging committees, and over 1500 hours of volunteer work across different communities and causes. That work was never separate from my clinical interests. It was always the same impulse: to show up for people who needed someone in their corner. I completed my graduate training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at St. Bonaventure University in 2025, where I developed a psychodynamic and somatic approach to therapy. I specialize in anxiety, grief, and people-pleasing patterns, particularly with people who are navigating cultural pressure, identity, and the specific exhaustion of existing between worlds.
