What is your style/approach to therapy?
I take a mind-body approach to therapy, blending evidence-based techniques with practical tools that address both thoughts and the body. I believe that sometimes stress and anxiety can’t be talked away, so using movement, breath, and body awareness can help ground you and create immediate relief. At the same time, lasting change comes from exploring emotional patterns and behaviors, noticing what drives them, and learning new ways to respond in the present moment.
I use modalities such as Somatic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), integrating them with my background in wellness coaching, yoga, and fitness. I aim to create a compassionate, curious, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore challenges, build resilience, and develop confidence in themselves.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
One thing I want people to know is that you don’t have to be in crisis to come to therapy. Everyone is welcome — whether you’re feeling stuck, stressed, or just want support navigating life, therapy can be a space to explore your patterns, build confidence, and create more ease and resilience in your daily life.
What are some the unique issues faced by clients in your particular field of specialization, in terms of mental health education, care, and/or treatment?
Many of my clients are already actively engaged in wellness practices — fitness routines, yoga, meditation, or other forms of self-care — yet they continue to experience anxiety, low mood, or stress. This can create frustration, as they may feel like they are “doing everything right” but still struggle to find lasting relief. These clients often face emotional patterns and behavioral cycles that are not addressed by wellness routines alone, including difficulty managing stress, perfectionism, self-criticism, or challenges with self-esteem.
In terms of mental health education, care, and treatment, it’s important to recognize that temporary strategies like exercise or mindfulness can provide relief but don’t always resolve underlying patterns. My work focuses on helping clients explore these emotional and behavioral patterns, build resilience, and integrate mind-body strategies with deeper therapeutic work to create lasting confidence, ease, and empowerment.

Education
University of Vermont, Bachelor of Education, Individualized Degree in Education, 2023 — A combination of education, social work, and health & wellness coaching, focused on understanding how people learn, grow, and make lasting changes in their lives.
Work HistoryI began my work supporting people through my background in education, studying how people learn, grow, and make lasting changes in their lives. As a wellness coach, I helped clients create routines, set goals, and build habits that supported both their physical and emotional wellbeing, which is where I first started exploring the mind-body connection in a coaching context. Teaching yoga and fitness classes further deepened my understanding of how movement, breath, and the body can help manage stress and support emotional regulation.
As a Milieu Coordinator at a partial-hospitalization-program for clients with eating disorders, I worked closely with individuals navigating complex emotional and behavioral patterns. I supported clients in building coping skills, developing healthier relationships with food and their bodies, and navigating daily life while fostering self-confidence and resilience.
All of these experiences have shaped my approach today: combining practical, body-based tools with deeper exploration of emotional and behavioral patterns, helping clients move past overwhelm and build confidence, resilience, and ease in their daily lives.
