Get To Know Me
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
I originally studied psychology but spent years in the corporate world before realizing it didn't fit who I really am. Making a midlife career switch to become a therapist was the best decision I ever made. I love what I do now.
But my education and career only tells part of the story. I also know what it's like to sit on the other side of the room. I offer the same empathy, validation, and encouragement I received from my own therapists, knowing that the therapeutic relationship is everything. In fact, after experiencing the benefits of EMDR firsthand, going from a skeptic to feeling real results, I knew I had to bring this advantage to my clients.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I bring a nonjudgmental and non-pathologizing approach to therapy. It is not your fault you are struggling. You are not broken or damaged; you have developed emotional survival mechanisms that have gotten you this far but they are now getting in the way of you enjoying your life and finding peace. I aim to work with you to find your path there and let go of what is not working for you anymore.
What does success look like in therapy? How will a client know that they are making progress?
Success in therapy looks like improvement. Feeling lighter, less anxious, less depressed, less reactive, less angry, less preoccupied with distressing thoughts and more of the things that you want in your life such as contentment, peace, and joy.

EMDR is a therapy that helps the brain reprocess traumatic or disturbing memories and emotions, providing meaningful relief from current distress. This can be integrated into ongoing therapy sessions or as a form of short-term therapy to address a variety of concerns including PTSD, panic/anxiety, phobias, grief, self-image, and more.
My therapeutic approach is nonjudgmental and non-pathologizing. My clients appreciate having an active participant in their corner rather than a silent observer. Together, we will map out your patterns, dissect complex cycles, and build practical tools for real change. Whether you are navigating a major life pivot, grieving a difficult loss or trying to protect your peace, I will help you gain clarity and find your footing.
