What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I was raised in an abusive home. Had CPS been active when I was growing up I'm sure they would have removed me from my home. Instead, I grow up depressed and always feeling different from others. After years of therapy and brainspotting, I am thriving, and believe it is an obligation and privilege to help others heal. This is why I became a clinical psychologist.

I'm a licensed clinical psychologist who has been practicing since 2010. My history of childhood trauma led me to become a clinical psychologist. After eight years in psychotherapy, I thought my trauma was healed until I attended my first Brainspotting training. When a horrible 20-year-old memory surfaced, I was shaken to the core. It was 25 minutes later that the memory was neutralized. My symptoms were gone, for good, and I was sold. I went on to become a certified brainspotter and a brainspotting consultant. This is the treatment I use most in my practice because it is effective, and healing happens in months, not years.
