What does a first session with you look like?
A first session is exploring where you have been, where you're at currently, and where you'd like to go. We do this collaboratively together and use it to create an established treatment plan for our time working together.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
A goal that I have going into each session is to establish tangible take aways for you that can be carried from within our sessions to have you utilize between our sessions. This continues throughout the entire time that we work together so that we can develop a robust list of coping skills and accessible resources to support you as you move your life, increasing support both internally and externally.
What do you think is the biggest barrier today for people seeking care?
For one, that the calendar on this site does not accurately represent my current availability. To see the most up to date available times/days, please visit my personal site at BloomingTherapyPLLC.com to schedule an appointment. Another is access to care because life gets in the way; that is why I offer virtual therapy sessions. This eliminates having to take more time to get to the office and creates a safe virtual space to increase time spent in therapy to address what needs to and start making progress.

Work History
I am a forever learner Licensed Psychologist; I continue to grow my strengths and skills to translate to those who are on their therapeutic journey with me. My task as your psychologist is to be able to help you develop your skills to navigate life, however that looks like for you. My approach to all of the educational and career opportunities was to step toward new experiences that challenged me; this allowed me to develop me skills in a variety of areas so that I can reach my goal to help as many individuals as possible that match with my skills and style. Each session, we will translate skills learned and practiced within therapy to be able to translate to outside of the therapy walls to assist you in navigating your life in a supportive, empowered way. Clients that match well with me need support to develop an understanding of how they are currently approaching life. They also need help identifying their current rhythms and patterns and how to increase their internal and external support. Although this is not limited to the communities that I practice with, I am Polyamorous, Consensually Non-Monogamous (CNM)/Ethically Non-Monogamous (ENM), Fat, Body Neutrality, and Immuno-disorders aware/knowledgeable.
