In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
My own life experiences have deeply shaped my belief that healing is not about fixing what is 'broken,' but about reclaiming the pieces of ourselves that we had to hide away just to survive. Navigating my own life transitions and learning to listen to my own internal system is exactly what led me to Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic work. I know firsthand what it feels like to have parts of you that feel anxious, stuck, or burdened by old relational patterns.
Because I have sat in the seat of doing my own deep internal work, I don’t look at you through a lens of clinical labels or judgment. My experiences have taught me that true recovery takes time, immense gentleness, and a fiercely safe environment. They have given me the capacity to offer you a warm, steady, and culturally humble presence—because I respect the courage it takes to look inward, untangle the confusion of the past, and step into who you were truly meant to be.
What does a first session with you look like?
Your first session is completely focused on building safety, comfort, and connection. There is no pressure to dive into deep trauma or have everything figured out on day one. Instead, we take a gentle, collaborative approach to help you settle in.
Here is what we will focus on during our first 60 minutes together:
Creating a Safe Sanctuary: We start by establishing a warm, steady, and entirely non-judgmental environment where you can speak freely. Your comfort and pace dictate everything we do.
Understanding Your Story: We will talk about what brings you to therapy right now—whether that is navigating relational trauma, untangling from narcissistic manipulation, or managing overwhelming anxiety and depressive symptoms.
Exploring Your Internal World: I will introduce you to how I work, which is heavily rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS). Rather than focusing on labels or trying to "fix" you, we will look at how different parts of your internal system are reacting to stress and how we can collaborate to help you connect with your core, confident Self.
Collaborative Goal Setting: We will outline what relief, healing, and reclaiming your voice look like for you. You are the ultimate expert on your life, and my role is to act as a supportive partner honoring your internal wisdom.
By the end of our first session, you will have a clear sense of what it feels like to work with me and a collaborative roadmap for your healing journey.
What’s the most profound, insightful, or interesting thing you’ve learned as a mental health professional?
The most profound insight I have gained in my years as a therapist is this: There are no "bad" parts of us—only parts carrying forced roles, burdens, or extreme exhaustion.
Before finding therapy, many people spend years fighting against themselves. They try to shame their anxiety into disappearing, hate themselves for their people-pleasing tendencies, or feel immense guilt over their anger or hypervigilance. They view these behaviors as fatal flaws or signs of a broken system.
But through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS), I have learned that every single internal mechanism—even the ones causing us pain—originally stepped forward to protect us. That harsh inner critic? It is often an exhausted internal protector trying to criticize you first so that a toxic partner or a narcissistic relationship cannot blindside you later. The numbness or depression? It is a protector shutting down the system to keep you safe from overwhelming emotional flooding.
When clients realize that their most distressing symptoms are actually exhausted protectors carrying heavy burdens from past relational trauma, a massive shift happens. The internal war stops. We stop trying to "fix" or exile these pieces of ourselves, and we start approaching them with curiosity, compassion, and appreciation for how hard they have worked to help us survive.
Watching a person transition from intense self-loathing to holding their own internal world with profound compassion is the most beautiful thing I witness. It has taught me that healing isn't about becoming a completely different person; it is about uncovering the calm, confident, and courageous Self that was there all along, just waiting under the burdens.

Education
University of South Florida, Master of Social Work, Clinical Social Work, 2019 — I graduated with honors from a rigorous, clinically focused advanced degree program specializing in direct therapeutic practice. As part of my clinical training, I designed and executed a Single-Subject Research Design project focused on measurable anxiety reduction. The study utilized a comprehensive 8-week protocol integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a Strengths-Based approach. By analyzing pre- and post-treatment outcomes, the data demonstrated a statistically significant decrease in client anxiety over the course of the treatment, reinforcing my commitment to utilizing structured, evidence-based frameworks to foster tangible emotional healing.
My formal introduction to clinical social work began during this time with a two-year internship serving children, parents, and school systems throughout Hillsborough County. Working within the specialized CINS/FINS (Children/Families in Need of Services) framework, I provided vital crisis intervention and family counseling to de-escalate complex domestic dynamics. Because the program's vital funding through the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) was strictly contingent on meeting rigorous, data-driven performance benchmarks, our team operated under the highest standards of accountability. Through our clinical efficacy and the volume of families successfully stabilized, we consistently met and exceeded every benchmark, directly resulting in the DJJ continuously awarding funding to secure these essential community services.
University of South Florida, Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, minor in Gerentology, 2014 — My Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, completed with Honors and a minor in Gerontology, served as the vital academic foundation that launched my path into clinical practice. From the beginning, I designed my coursework to gain an all-around, comprehensive understanding of the mental health field, using my electives to actively explore diverse psychological frameworks and clinical populations.
Through this intentional academic exploration, I began defining my strengths and long-term professional interests. My coursework in behavior modification provided me with a strong understanding of effective strategies for children, while my clinical electives introduced me to evidence-based methods—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) frameworks—used to alleviate anxiety and depressive symptoms in adults. Additionally, my minor in Gerontology provided a deep, specialized academic understanding of life-stage transitions, aging, and the unique psychological needs of older populations.
My time in the program was also heavily rooted in research. I collaborated on intensive group research projects and actively volunteered as a participant in numerous academic research studies, giving me a well-rounded appreciation for evidence-based science. Ultimately, this rigorous blend of psychological theory, research, and early population study was instrumental in directing me toward my true calling: the clinical social work track.
Work HistoryMy journey as a clinician began deep within the community systems of Florida, working closely with children, parents, and schools to stabilize families navigating intense crisis. Operating within high-accountability state frameworks taught me early on how to look at the whole picture—understanding how the external environments we live in profoundly shape our inner emotional worlds.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from a rich variation of cultures, including Caribbean, Hispanic, European, Indian, and Vietnamese populations. This diverse experience deepened my understanding of how heavily cultural dynamics, family expectations, and systemic backgrounds influence how we process grief, relationships, and trauma. It shaped my practice into one of deep cultural humility, ensuring that your unique identity and heritage are always respected and honored in our work together.
As my practice evolved, I transitioned into specialized clinical psychotherapy, focusing my energy entirely on helping individuals heal from complex relational trauma, systemic anxiety, and the invisible wounds of emotional abuse. Over the last year especially, my focus has leaned heavily into guiding individuals through the deep healing required after experiencing relationship abuse, narcissistic manipulation, and gaslighting. I help survivors untangle the profound confusion and self-doubt that these environments leave behind, helping them reclaim their reality and sense of self-worth.
Over the years, I realized that traditional talk therapies often only scratch the surface of these deep-seated wounds. To truly help clients break free from old, painful patterns, I advanced my training into deep, mind-body approaches. Today, as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker operating a fully virtual private practice, my work is anchored in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic practices. Every step of my professional history has led me to this specific approach: moving away from clinical labels and instead helping you safely connect with, understand, and heal the different parts of yourself that have been carrying the weight of your past. I bring a blend of rigorous clinical experience and a warm, steady presence to ensure that your virtual healing space feels entirely secure, respectful, and tailored to your pace."
