Education
Charles Drew University of Medicine and Sciences , Los Angeles CA, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, 2021 — Olajumoke Adeyemi, PMHNP-BC, is a licensed board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who specializes in women’s mental health. She brings warmth, expertise, and deep cultural awareness to every session. Her approach is rooted in trust, connection, and guiding women toward lasting emotional well-being through talk therapy. I help my clients achieve meaningful change by creating a safe, supportive space where they can explore their stories, identify patterns, and move toward emotional healing with clarity and purpose. My therapeutic approach is rooted in collaboration—honoring your lived experience while offering clinical insight and practical tools that fit your unique journey. I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and attachment-based work. Whether we’re processing trauma, managing anxiety, navigating grief, or working through life transitions, our sessions focus on both insight and action—helping you move from surviving to thriving. I prioritize compassion, authenticity, cultural sensitivity, and whole-person care. I value your voice, your resilience, and your right to be seen and supported as you are. As a psychotherapist with a background in psychiatric nursing and women's mental health, I understand how emotional and physical wellness intersect—and I bring that integrated perspective into the work we do together. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk with you as you reclaim your agency, reconnect with your values, and step into the life you want with more confidence, self-trust, and peace.
Work HistoryMy work has always centered around helping people feel seen, supported, and understood. Before opening my private practice, I spent several years working in both outpatient and community mental health settings, where I had the privilege of supporting women from all walks of life—new mothers, caregivers, survivors of trauma, and those navigating chronic stress, depression, or anxiety. These experiences deepened my understanding of how life transitions, cultural expectations, and emotional pain can impact a woman’s sense of self and well-being. I’ve worked closely with individuals experiencing postpartum depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma-related symptoms. Through that work, I became especially passionate about supporting women through reproductive and maternal mental health challenges—such as infertility, loss, perinatal stress, and the emotional weight of balancing motherhood with personal identity. Over time, I recognized the importance of integrating trauma-informed, faith-sensitive, and culturally aware care into everything I do. My background as a nurse practitioner with training in psychotherapy allows me to support clients holistically—not just addressing symptoms, but helping them reconnect with their values, reclaim their voice, and build lives that feel more empowered and aligned.
