What does success look like in therapy? How will a client know that they are making progress?
To me, success may look like some or all of the following: increased tolerance for difficult emotions, greater self awareness, ability to openly discuss components of one's life that they may have previously "bottled up," experiencing a wide range of emotions (often we become stuck in negative emotion due to trauma, depression, anxiety), trying new things that lead to greater self confidence, increased enjoyment within relationships, and a greater ability to identify their needs.

Work HistoryI began my career over 20 years ago and, since then, I've had the opportunity to practice psychotherapy with individuals and families in school, agency, university, and private practice settings. I am trained in a variety of conventional therapeutic modalities and have also received advanced training in yoga and health coaching. I weave a mind-body-spirit approach into my sessions and also focus on my clients' relationships, past traumas, and coping skills. All of this is aimed toward reducing troublesome symptoms and alleviating stress, anxiety and depression.
Clients often comment on my compassion, calmness, positive regard, and ability to individualize treatment to their specific needs.
