What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

I feel my own life experiences and familial difficulties led me to seek healthy answers. As I was feeling better I began to study, more deeply, the field of psychology and especially addiction and family systems. There is nothing more rewarding than assisting others on their path to wellness.

Hello! I am Paulette Maldonado, a licensed therapist. I have completed a Masters program, as well as, a practicum and formal supervision. I am passionate about my work and take it very seriously. I have worked within substance abuse programs, group setting practices and individual therapy. I specialize in anxiety disorders, lifting depression, trauma, stress and womens issues. I am dedicated to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Psychodynamic approach. I also value Solution focused and many other modalities, depending on your particular case. I believe that psycho education is important. I will work with you in identifying goals and the next steps to help you achieve and maintain these desired goals.
