Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
My approach to therapy is supportive, nonjudgmental, and integrative. Many of my clients are new to therapy or are returning to therapy after a long break, so I try to make the intake process as easy as possible. I like to come alongside my clients instead of directing them. This way, I’m able to get a deeper understanding of their unique stories, and I can often help them see a different view on their situations, narratives, and identified problems. Together, we learn new ways to think, feel, and react to these problems and often experience more peace and satisfaction in the end.
I have a passion for helping people to improve their sense of self by managing anxiety and depression, building self confidence, and reducing stress. I use evidenced based techniques like ACT, CBT, Mindfulness, TF-CBT and more. I provide telehealth throughout FL, MN and MO ensuring that even rural and underserved communities can access the care they need.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
I believe that therapy affords us the opportunity to gain new perspectives, to relate differently to our problems, and to discover more in our stories.
