Work HistoryI am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have worked in various mental health settings to include community clinics and hospitals. A major focus in my work has been anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Hoarding. Utilizing individualized therapeutic modalities, I help clients overcome their mental health challenges. I have a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from the University of San Diego (USD). I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy among others. Besides completing six years of rigorous University education graduating with honors, I have an additional two years of internship in various locations and specialties, and six years of working as a full-time therapist. I have worked for Mental Health Systems (MHS) providing counseling to high-risk youth and their families; UCSD Department of Medicine and Global Health providing counseling to clients on probation; UCSD Department of Psychiatry and San Diego VA Medical Center providing counseling, case management, and legal representation for clients with anxiety, OCD, major depression, PTSD, and Hoarding Disorder among others. I am now working with Institute of Behavioral Sciences and Technology Family Counseling (IBSTFC) under my own private practice where I continue to care for individuals of all ages, married couples, and families who may be suffering from various mental health challenges that I help them overcome.
