Get To Know Me
What does a first session with you look like?
Our first session is about getting to know each other—not performing or fixing everything at once. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what’s felt hard lately, and what you’re hoping therapy can help with. I’ll ask some questions, but there’s no pressure to tell your whole story right away. I know it takes time to build trust. My job is to listen closely, track what feels important, and make sure you leave that first session feeling heard, not overwhelmed.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect a mix of deep exploration and practical support. We’ll dig into patterns, beliefs, and old dynamics—but we’ll also talk through what’s happening in your day-to-day life. You might leave with insight, language for what you’re feeling, or a new way to approach something hard. I’ll track themes, name what I notice, and help you connect dots—but you’re always in charge of the pace and direction. And yes, I’ll absolutely cheer you on every step of the way.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I bring warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for your lived experience into every session. I’m someone who thinks in patterns, feels things deeply, and values honesty—even when it’s hard. That shows up in therapy as gentle challenge, thoughtful questions, and a commitment to making sure our work feels grounded and collaborative. I believe therapy should honor your nervous system, your identity, and your truth. We move at your pace—no fixing, no judgment, just real connection and steady support.

Work HistoryOver the past 20 years, I’ve worked across the mental health field—in foster care, reentry programs, university counseling, community mental health, and private practice. I’ve served in roles ranging from in-home therapist to clinical supervisor to executive leadership, which has given me a wide lens on what real support looks like across different systems. I’ve supported families navigating crisis, children healing from trauma, and parents advocating for neurodivergent kids in spaces that didn’t always understand them. My work with ADHD and anxiety began early, and deepened over time—not just professionally, but personally. The more I learned about neurodivergence, the more I recognized it in myself, and in the people I love. That journey gave me a deeper understanding of emotional intensity, executive dysfunction, and the power of self-compassion. I’ve supervised therapists, directed programs, and led clinical teams—but at the core, I’m here to help people feel less alone in their struggles. These days, I focus on creating therapy spaces where you don’t have to mask or over-explain—just show up as you are.
