Work HistoryMy experience includes working with diverse populations such as children, adolescents, and adults in both school-based and community clinic settings. My background treating young adults experiencing their first episode of psychosis (FEP) sparked the development of my empathic stance and insight into a wide range of challenges, from severe mental illness to the hazards of everyday life. Although I no longer works with FEP, I prioritize improving the quality of treatment that is offered to individuals coming to my practice and invest in ongoing professional development to better train new therapists entering the field. I currently supervise counselors-in-training and Howard University Psychiatry Residents’ looking to gain more skills in psychotherapy. I also teache at the Washington Baltimore Institute’s Psychoanalytic Studies Program. I volunteers much of my time outside of clinical work to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives at a local psychoanalytic organization, the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis.
