Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path to becoming a therapist grew out of years working in Title IX office and community development, where I witnessed firsthand how trauma, systemic injustice, and power imbalances impact people’s lives. Those experiences showed me how important it is to have someone who truly listens and holds space without judgment. I was inspired to pursue therapy because I wanted to be that person, someone who walks alongside others in their healing journey with compassion and cultural humility. Helping clients find safety, voice, and resilience motivates me every day.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients often tell me they feel more grounded, self-aware, and supported after our sessions. I create a space where it’s safe to be real, without pressure to perform or mask what you’re going through. You’ll leave with practical tools for managing emotions, insight into your patterns, and a stronger connection to your values and body. My goal is for you to feel more like you.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I approach therapy as a collaborative relationship. I bring empathy, cultural humility, and a strong belief in your capacity to grow, even when things feel overwhelming. My style is warm and honest, and I often incorporate mindfulness and body-based practices to help build awareness. I’ll offer challenges when they’re helpful and always respect your pace.

Work HistoryBefore becoming a therapist, I worked in Title IX office and community development, supporting individuals navigating harm, discrimination, and systemic barriers. That work shaped my commitment to trauma-informed, justice-centered care and gave me a strong foundation in advocacy and healing. As a Black woman therapist, I create affirming spaces for BIPOC clients to process racial trauma, identity, and attachment wounds. My approach blends somatic work, DBT, and Brainspotting to help clients feel seen, grounded, and empowered.
