In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
My personality plays a big role in how I show up as a therapist. I lead with authenticity and empathy, which helps clients feel safe and seen. I also believe that therapy doesn’t have to be overly formal or stiff—sometimes being a little silly, sharing a laugh, or using humor in a thoughtful way can be just as healing as the serious moments. I strive to meet clients where they’re at, emotionally and culturally, and that includes being in tune with what’s current—from social issues and politics to pop culture and generational language. This helps me build real connection and trust, especially with younger or marginalized clients. Above all, I want therapy to feel like a collaborative, human experience, not just a clinical one.

Work HistoryI’m a bilingual (Spanish/English) therapist with a deep commitment to providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. Over the years, I’ve supported clients in a range of settings—including school-based therapy with children and adolescents, community mental health with families navigating life transitions, and STRTP work with adolescent boys involved in the juvenile justice system. I’ve also provided care in a large healthcare setting at Kaiser, working with individuals facing complex mental health needs. These experiences have shaped my ability to meet people where they are, honor their lived experiences, and create a safe, nonjudgmental space for healing, especially for those from marginalized communities.
