What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

I was fortunate to know what I wanted to do for a living at a very young age. I knew I wanted to help people and decided at only 8 years old that I would follow the career path of service and get a degree in Social Work. I do what I do because I genuinely love helping others. It's more than just a profession, it's a calling.

In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?

I am a compassionate, laid-back, funny individual. You will see this in my therapy sessions. I use humor and will share my personal experiences when it's helpful. My approach to therapy is that you are the expert of your life. I take a collaborative approach to therapy. I am also comfortable talking about taboo topics.
