Education
Naropa University, Master of Arts, Psychology: Contemplative Psychotherapy, 2017
Work HistoryMy journey as a therapist began when I started my own process of self-exploration and healing in my 20s. The help I received while processing my past traumas, depression, and substance use led to my vocation to help others through similar experiences. Since I graduated in 2017, I've worked in the field by first helping individuals with substance use issues. As I conitnued my work, I started to notice a pattern of trauma, anxiety, and depression that created a pattern of thought and self-judgment that lead to isolation, loneliness, and substance use. Noticing these patterns led to my interest in EMDR and targeting past experiences to help alleviate individuals from thoughts and beliefs that can lead to emotional distress. I have developed a unique style of therapy combining client-centered therapy with several modalities. My schooling at Naropa University focused on mindfulness and meditation practices, key skills to quiet the patterns of thought and belief that can lead to self-defeating patterns of behavior.
