Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
When I was a teen I struggled with depression and anxiety. When I got to college, I began taking psychology classes to try and understand myself. What really changed for me was encountering the work of Carl Jung in my personality psychology class, and from that moment on I knew I wanted to become a therapist. There's really nothing more interesting to me than why people are the way they are, and nothing more gratifying then helping people sort their lives out. Every day is a new experience, and I absolutely love what I do.

Work HistoryI've been a mental health therapist for the past 12 years. Early in my career I worked in hospitals on inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. I worked both on an eating disorder unit, as well as an adolescent unit. I moved on and spent some time working in an outpatient clinic treating issues like depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress. Eventually I made the decision to open my own practice, and have done so ever since. I continue to help treat issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma, but also commonly help people with social anxiety, self esteem & confidence, and compulsive behavior, & spiritual or existential issues. I have training in hypnotherapy and Jungian & Gestalt therapy in addition to my MS in Psychology.
