What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
When I was 17 years old, my brother was diagnosed as Bi-polar. I spent countless hours talking to my brother. One day, after listening to one of our conversations, my mother stated, "Rod, you would make a great therapist." The seed was planted and I set a goal to become a therapist. I love being a therapist and being put in a position of trust to help others.

Work History
I have been in private practice since 2003. In addition, I am retired from the Department of Children and Family Services where I provided direct client/case management/case management supervision, and clinical supervision. I have worked with thousands of families to help them overcome challenges that were adversely impacting their family. I have a plethora of experience in substance abuse, mental illness, intimate partner violence, child abuse, custody issues, and more. I have had the honor of helping countless Children Social Workers gain the tools and skills to become licensed therapists.
