Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path may seem pretty standard, but I took a psychology class in high school and fell in love with the field. Before discovering psychology, I aspired to work in the criminal justice field as a lawyer. However, after being intrigued by the ideas presented in the field, I knew my true passion was therapy.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I consider my style to thrapy to be eclectic, meaning I blend multiple approaches to best fit the needs of the client. My background is strongest in cognitive-behavioral therapy. However, in the end, I approach therapy in terms of what the client will find most beneficial. The client is in charge of sessions; my role is to create an open space where the client can navigate their challenges freely and offer guidance and support where needed.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
I wish more people understood the innate power they carry in the therapeutic process. They have the power not only to foster growth, but to choose that process for themselves. I encourage my clients to step into their power in order to take an active role in their treatment process.

Work HistoryHello and welcome! My name is Roger, and I’m a therapeutic intern at Atlanta Indigo Therapy and Wellness. My counseling style is rooted in warmth, empathy, and collaboration. I believe everyone deserves a space where they can navigate life’s challenges openly and authentically. Before joining Atlanta Indigo, I worked at Redtop Wellness Center, supporting clients of various ages, genders, and backgrounds in their recovery from addiction alongside co-occurring mental health challenges. I’ve also worked with clients managing ADHD symptoms, helping them find strategies that support both focus and self-compassion. Under the supervision of Summer Curran, I focus on issues related to identity, anxiety, relationships, life transitions, and couples counseling. I see therapy as a place for growth and self-discovery, and I’m committed to creating a space where you can step into your power and live the life you want. I look forward to working with you!
