Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Working with me means you’ll have a therapist who is warm, down-to-earth, and truly listens. I know it takes courage to reach out, and I want you to feel comfortable sharing whatever is on your mind without fear of judgment. I’ll meet you where you are, whether that’s feeling completely overwhelmed or just wanting a space to sort things out.
I believe therapy should feel collaborative. Instead of telling you what to do, I’ll help you uncover what feels right for you, offering tools and insights along the way. Some sessions may feel lighter and focused on support, while others may gently challenge old patterns or beliefs that are getting in your way.
It’s also important for you to know that I respect the pace of this process. Change doesn’t happen overnight, and I’m mindful of creating a safe space where we move at a rhythm that feels manageable. My goal is for you to leave sessions with a little more clarity, a little more hope, and practical strategies you can use in your everyday life.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
I know what it’s like to carry a lot on your plate. Over the years I’ve managed mental health programs, built a private practice, and balanced the role of being a mom. I’m naturally goal-driven, and while that drive has helped me accomplish a lot, it’s also meant I’ve had to learn how to slow down, be kinder to myself, and find balance. I understand the pressure so many women and teens feel to keep pushing, even when they’re tired or unsure of themselves.
Being the wife of a former first responder also gave me insight into the unique stress families face when life feels unpredictable or when one person is carrying a heavy emotional load. I’ve seen how important it is for spouses, kids, and parents to have support, even when they’re not the ones “on the front lines.”
These personal experiences, combined with my years of clinical work, shape the way I show up in the therapy room. I bring warmth, patience, and a genuine respect for the challenges my clients face, whether that’s a child learning to navigate big emotions, a teen struggling with identity or pressure, or a woman trying to juggle work, family, and her own well-being. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can lay it all down for a while, gain tools that fit your life, and start to feel more like yourself again.
In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
My life philosophy and my treatment philosophy overlap in the belief that change is possible and that people are stronger than they realize. In my own life, I try to see the glass as half full, focusing on growth and possibility even when challenges show up. I carry that same perspective into therapy, helping clients recognize their strengths, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and discover what they’re capable of when they have the right support.
I believe progress isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing up, trying again, and learning along the way. Therapy with me is about creating space for both the hard moments and the hopeful ones. I hold onto the truth that healing can happen, resilience can be built, and you don’t have to face life’s challenges on your own.

Work HistoryOver the past twenty years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children, teens, and adults through a wide range of life experiences. Much of my work has been supporting people who feel overwhelmed by stress, trauma, or the demands of family and work. In community mental health, I guided individuals and families through some of their hardest moments, helping them find healthier ways to cope, communicate, and reconnect with what matters to them.
Along the way, I developed a specialty in working with high-achieving professionals, new moms, and teens. I’ve seen how stress, anxiety, and burnout can make life feel unmanageable, and I focus on practical tools that help people feel more grounded and capable. I also draw from trauma-informed approaches, meaning I pay close attention to the impact of past experiences on present struggles and work with clients at a pace that feels safe and supportive.
Now in private practice, I bring all of that experience together to offer a warm, collaborative space where clients feel understood and supported. Whether it’s navigating motherhood, managing professional stress, or helping teens build confidence and social skills, I tailor therapy to fit each person’s needs so they can move toward feeling more balanced and whole.
