Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path to becoming a therapist was greatly shaped by my own experiences. For a long time, I struggled to find a therapist who really understood the world I came from. I spent so much time trying to explain the context of my experiences before we could even begin talking about how they had impacted me.
When I finally found a therapist who understood religious trauma and high-control religion, something clicked. They gave me language for experiences I had never been able to put into words. Things that had always felt confusing suddenly started to make sense. That experience showed me just how powerful a strong therapeutic relationship can be and inspired me to become the kind of therapist who offers that same understanding to others.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I'm a human, which unfortunately means I can't magically make your experiences disappear. I'm also not here to hand out sage advice that's somehow supposed to solve every problem.
What I *am* here to do is put our heads together. You bring the expertise of living **your** life (because you're the expert on that), and I bring my training, knowledge, and curiosity. Together, we'll work to better understand your experiences, explore what matters most to you, and find ways to move forward that fit your values and the life you want to build. My hope is that working with me feels like a place where you can show up exactly as you are, wherever you are in your journey.

Education
Walden University, Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2026 — I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, where I received training in evidence-based approaches to counseling, trauma-informed care, assessment, ethics, and multicultural counseling. My interest in religious trauma, purity culture, spiritual abuse, and high-control religious environments began long before graduate school, and my education gave me the opportunity to deepen my understanding of these areas through research, coursework, and clinical training. Today, I continue to expand my knowledge through ongoing education so I can provide compassionate, evidence-based care that honors each client's unique experiences, values, and goals.
Work HistoryMy clinical experience includes working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, life transitions, self-esteem, relationship concerns, and grief. Throughout my training, I had the opportunity to support people from many different backgrounds while helping them navigate some of life's most difficult moments.
Along the way, I found myself especially drawn to working with individuals healing from religious trauma, purity culture, spiritual abuse, and high-control religious environments. This has become the primary focus of my practice, and I continue to deepen my knowledge through ongoing education and training in trauma-informed care.
Whether you're working through the impact of a painful past, feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or trying to reconnect with yourself after years of living by someone else's expectations, my goal is to provide a collaborative, compassionate space where you feel heard, understood, and supported.
