Get To Know Me
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
As a biracial African American man with a late ADHD diagnosis, I have lived experience that helps me understand the unique strengths and challenges of those who share in these parts of my identity. I aim to create a space where you can set aside the pressure to mask, code-switch, or otherwise perform and bring your full authentic self, no judgment. I can offer targeted skills and personal perspective, but more importantly, I want you to feel seen and heard for the person you truly are, and the person you want to be, wherever you are on your journey.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Ready for a different kind of therapy? I'm here for it!
Finding a therapist who truly understands the intersection of your identity and your unique brain-wiring shouldn't be another chore on your to-do list. I’m Ryan, and I provide a neuro-affirming, culturally grounded space where you don’t have to choose between embracing your authentic self and getting your needs met. I don't show up as a distant observer, but as an advocate and fellow traveler on your path to wellness.
Every individual is unique, so my approach is eclectic and catered to you. I incorporate DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and Family Systems to help you build practical strengths. For those seeking to heal from trauma or painful memories, I am also certified in EMDR Therapy, offering a specialized way to process what hurts so you can move toward what matters most.
Whether you’re navigating the weight of "masking" in a world not built for your brain, or you're a couple trying to rewire your negative cycles, my goal is to help you unmask and live the story you want to write. You deserve a safe, accepting space to bring your whole self. If you're ready to grow past your current limitations and heal, I’d love to connect!
